Monfa Named National Merit Semifinalist

In recognition for her exceptional performance on the preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test last fall, Sophia Monfa ’25 has been recognized as a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist.

Over 1.3 million juniors in approximately 21,000 high schools entered the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the PSAT last fall. Just 16,000 Semifinalists have been selected, representing less than one percent of US high school seniors, including high-scoring entrants in each state.

In the next step of the competition Monfa will submit an application which will include her academic record, participating in school and community activities, demonstrated leadership abilities, employment, and honors and awards received.
