“The world is our home.” — Fr. Jerónimo Nadal, SJ (1507-1580)

In late October, Cheverus hosted seven students from Istituto This was the fourth time Cheverus has hosted a group from the fellow Jesuit school of 1,100 students in Milan, Italy. The week included class time, cheering on the Stags at the end of the fall season, trips around Portland, an excursion to Boston, Halloween celebrations – and budding friendships!

Jesuit schools commit themselves to educating students to be global citizens. This program helps to animate the global dimension of our school. The exchange with a Jesuit network school establishes connections and relationships around the globe, living out the call from Fr. Nadal, an early Jesuit and trusted companion of St. Ignatius, that “the world is our home.”
