Mr. Shawn Hawthorne

Mr. Hawthorne is a Principal at Novaya Real Estate Ventures (Boston, MA), overseeing the firm’s real estate portfolio strategy and equity capabilities of roughly 50 assets across New England, the Mid-Atlantic, and Southeastern United States. He is responsible for managing the relationship of the firm’s limited partner investors, joint venture partners, and communicating to prospective investors. Additionally, as the portfolio manager of the Novaya Open-End Fund, he directs strategy and portfolio construction for the firm’s long-term investment vehicle.

Prior to joining Novaya, Shawn previously served as the Asset Manager of the U.S. portfolio at Pembroke Real Estate, a subsidiary of Fidelity Investments. Shawn also spent nearly six years at KPMG LLP, in the audit and advisory team servicing publicly traded mutual funds and private equity clients.

Shawn holds a B.S. in Business Management and an M.S. in Accounting from Babson College and is a 2002 graduate of Cheverus High School. Shawn lives in North Easton, Massachusetts with his wife and two children and enjoys skiing and snowboarding.
