Michael Cianchette leads several affiliated businesses in southern Maine, having previously served as Chief Legal Counsel and Senior Policy Advisor to Gov. Paul R. LePage. He holds the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Reserve as an Intelligence Officer, with decorations including the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, and Rifle and Pistol “sharpshooter” qualifications, among others. Michael writes a weekly opinion column for the Bangor Daily News and also serves as a Director of the Maine Turnpike Authority and Trustee of the Maine Historical Society. He is a 2002 graduate of Cheverus, and went on to earn a BA in Economics and Political Science from Boston College and a JD/MBA from Suffolk University. Michael lives in Cumberland with his wife Michelle and their children.
